I am currently a Master’s student at Leiden University, specializing in Film and Photographic Studies. My journey here has been one of hard work and dedication. last year, I successfully completed my pre-master’s program, and this year, I have already managed to pay for three out of five installments of my Master’s tuition.

I am now in the final stretch of my degree, but I have hit an unexpected financial wall that threatens my ability to graduate this year.

Because of the ongoing war and the extreme economic instability in Iran, my parents are no longer able to send the financial support I rely on. The volatile economy there has made it impossible for them to assist me with my final payments.

As a non-EU citizen in the Netherlands, finding student employment is incredibly difficult due to strict work permit regulations. I have been searching for a part-time job since September without success. Currently, I am only able to cover my basic cost of living (rent and groceries) leaving nothing left for my remaining tuition.

I need to raise €8,000 to cover my final two tuition installments (€4,000 each).

Completed: Pre-master’s tuition & 3 Master's installments

Remaining: 2 installments of €4,000.

I have put an immense amount of effort into my studies at Leiden. My work in media and photography is my passion, and I am so close to earning my degree. It would be devastating to come this far and be unable to graduate due to international circumstances beyond my control.
