Help Me Move My Father from the Occupied Territory
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
My name is Tatyana, and I am currently staying in the Netherlands. Our family home is under Russian occupation. My 70-year-old father still lives there, and I am 26. After my mother passed away, I found myself unable to register the house in my name or sell it. Going back to the occupied zone would be extremely dangerous for me, and because of the war, almost nothing functions there anymore — no legal system, no support, no safety.
I’m working, but I know that saving enough money to buy a home for my father will take many years — years he may not have.
What I want more than anything is to see him again and know that when his time comes, he will die a natural death — not because of a missile.I couldn’t do anything for my mother, but maybe I can still do something for my father.
This is a deeply personal and painful situation, but I believe in the kindness of people. I’m asking for help because I cannot do this alone.
Any contribution, even the smallest, means more to me and my family than words can express.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏
