Saving the Lanzarote Podencos is a group of volunteers willing to change the sad destiny of the Lanzarote hunting dogs. They desparately need money to take care of the dogs they found or were brought to the shelter. The Podenco's are kept in a lot of local villages in small cages, most of the time they are not taken care of, this means they nearly don't get food (because they have to hunt and therefore be hungry) in dirty cages, with dirty drinking water, on a leash in small dirty cages, often wounded, sometimes in a cage in the full sun sometimes -and even worse - kept in underground cages.

Please help them...They need money to host them, take care of them (veterinarian costs, operations etc) and eventually send them to other european countries for adoption (flight costs, paperwork etc)... If you want to adopt a Podenco, please contact them on Facebook.

Saving the Lanzarote Podencos est un groupe de volontaires qui essaie de changer le destin terrible des chiens de chasse - Podenco's - de Lanzarote. Ils ont besoin d'argent pour acceuillir et soigner les chiens qui arrivent ou sont placés dans leur refuge. Les Podencos sont tenus dans des petites cages, la plupart du temps on s'en occupe pas, ils ne recoivent presque rien à manger (ils supposent qu'ils chassent mieux quand ils sont affamés), sont dans des cages sales, avec de l'eau sale à boire, souvent avec des blessures et les cages en plein soleil ou - pire encore - dans des cages souterraines.
