Tony is wonderful person that I met at the supermarket almost two years ago, where he is selling newspapers and other stuff almost every day of the week. He is always super friendly and positive to everyone. I started talking with him and we became friends. 

A week ago tony told me he has a skin deformity on his chest and that he is in a lot of pain and almost can’t sleep because of it. He went to the hospital and they told him he needs surgery. However, because he still doesn't have a residence permit (he has been in a legal fight for two years now), he does not have a 

medical insurance to cover the medical costs (about €2000). This means that he has to pay the operation himself. While he is barely able to pay his room rent.

He never asked me for anything but now he needs financial help for his surgery and I can't help him alone. So if you can miss a certain amount of money, even if it's just a few euro's, please donate. Thanks a lot in advance!

A little background story:

Tony is a social political refugee from Cameroon. As an English teacher and Cameroon citizen Tony was protesting and fighting for his rights. Within this political fight a lot of people like Tony were killed. For his safety, he had to leave the country and ended up in the Netherlands. Currently, Tony is in a legal fight to get permission to stay in the Netherlands. Going back is no option for him as he is on a blacklist in Cameroon now. If he ever enters his country again he will be arrested and killed.
