Don't wait until it's too late
Mental health affects all aspects of our life. Yet- it is the most neglected area of the public health. Depression is the single most prevalent mental illness. Due to this sickness we lost our colleague- Aleksandra.
She came to Netherland with her boyfriend, they found job in the same company and place to live- together with friends. From the outside looks like everything is fine- right?
Last Friday she committed suicide.
We are still speechless over the shock add grief, but we need to act. We want to support Her Family with covering saddest expenses- transport of body back to Poland and funeral. Especially that first one will be paid in euro- you can imagine how difficult it could be for someone who earns in polish zloty.
This is our last farewell to Ola- we couldn’t help when she was still here. Help us comfort Her Family after She's gone.
Nie czekaj, aż będzie za późno
Zdrowie psychiczne ma wplyw na kazdy aspekt naszego zycia. Jest to jednak najbardziej zaniedbany obszar zdrowia publicznego. Depresja jest najczęstszą chorobą psychiczną. Z powodu tej choroby straciliśmy naszą koleżankę Aleksandrę.
Do Holandii przyjechała ze swoim chłopakiem, znaleźli pracę w tej samej firmie i mieszkanie – razem z przyjaciółmi. Z zewnątrz wygląda na to, że wszystko jest w porządku – prawda?
W zeszły piątek popełniła samobójstwo.
Nadal jesteśmy w szoku i żałobie, ale musimy działać. Chcemy wesprzeć Jej Rodzinę w pokryciu najsmutniejszych wydatków - transportu zwłok do Polski i pogrzebu. Zwłaszcza, że pierwszy będzie płacony w euro – można sobie wyobrazić, jak trudno może być komuś, kto zarabia w złotówkach.
To nasze ostatnie pożegnanie z Olą- nie mogliśmy pomóc, gdy jeszcze tu była. Pomóż nam pocieszyć Jej Rodzinę po Jej odejściu.

Psychische Gesundheit betrifft alle Aspekte unseres Lebens. Dennoch ist es der am meisten vernachlässigte Bereich der öffentlichen Gesundheit. Depressionen sind die häufigste psychische Erkrankung. Durch diese Krankheit haben wir unsere Kollegin Aleksandra verloren.
Sie kam mit ihrem Freund in die Niederlande, sie fanden Arbeit in der gleichen Firma und im gleichen Haus - zusammen mit Freunden. Von außen scheint alles in Ordnung zu sein, oder?
Sie hat sich letzten Freitag das Leben genommen.
Wir sind immer noch sprachlos und schockiert und traurig, aber wir müssen handeln. Wir wollen ihre Familie unterstützen, indem wir die traurigsten Ausgaben decken: die Rückführung der Leiche nach Polen und die Beerdigung. Besonders der erste wird in Euro bezahlt – Sie können sich vorstellen, wie schwierig es für jemanden sein kann, wenn man in polnische Zloty bezahlt wird.
Dies ist unser letzter Abschied von Ola - wir konnten ihr nicht helfen, solange sie noch hier war. Helfen Sie uns, ihre Familie zu trösten, nachdem sie weg ist.
