Here’s the deal: For every €5 donated, I’ll run 1 kilometer. And trust me, you’ll want to see this, might be one of the least graceful runners out there. But I’ll document every wobbly step and share the video with you all. Why? Because TREEZ need protection, and for every €5, 5 trees are saved.
I’m taking on this challenge for Zomba TREEZ, a charity with a brilliant mission: paying communities to protect their forests. Every tree standing in a TREEZ conservation area earns real income for the people guarding it. More trees = more money, especially when harvests fail and there’s nothing else coming in. When a forest supports livelihoods, it has a future.
Malawi, and the incredible people there, like Tom & Petal from Zomba Treez Foundation, hold a special place in my heart. It’s my second home, but for millions, it’s their only home. Let’s protect it together.
