After weeks of survival in several hotels Bero was assigned a new home! He is very happy to look forward to a new start! He will move into the new house around Christmas. We dont know yet how much work has to be done to make it livable. Nevertheless he is worried how to pay for all things needed, but is also pleased with the amount of money that has been donated by you all. So I kindly ask you to keep sharing this donation page.

Qamar, Bero's cat was totally lucky when Riekerhaven block 6 burned down. The evening before the fire Bero took Qamar to a good friend to stay over for a while, as it would have been a very busy time with his school curriculum. Had Qamar been at home, she wouldn't have survived as she hides under the bed when strangers knock on the door.

Bero is happily surprised with the amount that has been donated already !! ❤️ Thanks so much.
Today Bero told me he stays in a hotelroom now, after having stayed over with friends, but that house became too crowded. He is also suffering from Corona 🙁 Today all people who lost their homes learned that they defenitely will not receive any compensation for the loss of their belongings. The housing corporation is trying its best to find accomodation for all, but when is still unclear.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION FUNDING PAGE FOR BERO
Hello everyone, my name is Bert Krus. My good friend Bero Mostafa lost home and hearth on November 13, 2022 during the fierce fire that raged on social housing project Startblok Riekerhaven in Amsterdam. This fire is all over the news at the moment.
Please help him financially!
Bero literally has nothing left, not even a toothbrush or underwear! He urgently needs money for basic things like a new ID, debit card, school fees and textbooks, a school laptop. Then he must also make a new accommodation habitable with a floor, curtains, furniture, etc.
Bero barely lived at Riekerhaven for a year and started with great success in September with a nice ROC training; Entrance Services & Care. At the moment the future, for this very sociable and talented young man, stands or falls with the allocation of other housing and money for basic things.
Bero arrived in the Netherlands in 2018 after fleeing the totalitarian regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Bero was on the death list there because Assad does not allow gay men like Bero to live. Once arrived in Arnhem, Bero followed a long hard road without family, he had to learn the language, find his way in NL and deal with his war trauma. All this was accompanied by many ups and downs. In the end, Bero again experienced fierce homophobia in Arnhem, he was severely beaten up to 4 times by a homophobic gang, until he bled. There was nothing to do but flee Arnhem, and then Riekerhaven came into view. And there he lost everything again!!
Deze trieste beelden maakte Bero van het terrein waarop zijn huis stond dat nu van de aardbodem verdwenen is.
