A Week of Giving — A Step Towards Self-Reliance
In recognition of International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, the Provisional Government Council of the Principality of Morodan has been granted a permit by the Municipality of Amsterdam to conduct a public fundraising collection from 9 to 15 August 2026.
For me, this is more than a fundraising campaign.
As Kazik, I have chosen to dedicate my public work to the dignity, rights and self-determination of Indigenous peoples and nations — and to the principle that peoples must retain permanent sovereignty over their lands, natural resources and future.
For many years, institutions and initiatives such as ours have depended heavily on grants, subsidies and institutional partnerships. I believe there is another path: self-reliance.
This collection therefore marks an important step in the development of the Provisional Government Council. We are building the capacity to determine our own trajectory, develop our institutions, strengthen our governance and pursue our mission with greater independence.
This does not mean that we no longer wish to work with the Municipality of Amsterdam, public institutions, civil society or other partners. On the contrary — meaningful cooperation remains essential. But partnership is strongest when it is built upon an organisation that also possesses the capacity to stand on its own feet.
That is the kind of institution we are working to build.
Every contribution, however modest, helps us move towards that goal.
And if you do not wish to donate, there are many other ways to contribute.
We are looking for members, volunteers, professionals, advisors and future board members who believe that institutions can be built with courage, dignity and responsibility.
If you would like to walk with us during the collection week in Amsterdam, please reach out to me directly. Volunteers who participate in the collection will receive 15% of the proceeds they personally collect, in accordance with our fundraising arrangement.
To those who choose to support us: thank you.
Not simply for the contribution, but for placing your trust in the idea that a people, an institution and a vision should have the means to shape their own future.
Self-reliance is not isolation.
Sovereignty is not separation.
And service is not measured by what we receive, but by what we are prepared to build.
