Geef kinderen in Gambia gelijke kansen op onderwijs
Ik organiseer deze inzamelingsactie omdat veel kinderen in Gambia niet naar school kunnen vanwege diepe armoede. Zonder schooluniform, schoolgeld, lunch of lesmateriaal blijven ze thuis en missen ze basisvaardigheden die de weg naar werk en zelfstandigheid openen.
Momenteel ben ik bezig om samen met mijn partner in Gambia een stichting op te zetten om deze kinderen structureel te helpen een betere toekomst te krijgen.
Met jouw bijdrage richten we ons concreet op:
- schooluniformen zodat kinderen welkom zijn op school
- schoolgeld voor toelating en schooladministratie
- lunchgeld zodat ze de dag kunnen volhouden en geconcentreerd leren
- lesmateriaal zoals schriften, pennen en basisleermiddelen
De opbrengst wordt rechtstreeks besteed aan lokale scholen en onderwijsondersteuning, zodat kinderen structureel kunnen deelnemen aan lessen en een reëel vooruitzicht krijgen op een betere toekomst.
Maar het wordt ook besteed aan hulp aan alleenstaande moeders om het hoofd boven water te houden.

Give children in Gambia equal opportunities for education.
I'm organizing this fundraising campaign because many children in Gambia cannot attend school due to severe poverty. Without school uniforms, school fees, lunch, or learning materials, they stay home and lack the basic skills that pave the way to employment and independence.
I'm currently working with my partner in Gambia to establish a foundation to structurally help these children have a better future. With your contribution, we will specifically focus on:
school uniforms so that children feel welcome at school; school fees for admission and school administration;
lunch money so they can get through the day and focus on learning
teaching materials such as notebooks, pens, and basic learning materials.
The proceeds will be used directly for local schools and educational support, so that children can regularly participate in lessons and have a realistic prospect of a better future. But it will also be used to help single mothers survive.
