Wij zijn Wesley (16 jaar) en Lize (15 jaar) en willen voor Wesley zijn zusje en mijn lieve schoonzusje Evi een actie opzetten voor het inzamelen van geld voor een rolstoelbus/auto. Door de corona is dit niet mogelijk en proberen we het op deze manier.

Evi, een lief ondeugend meisje van 6 jaar maar helaas ongeneeslijk ziek. Evi heeft een progressieve stofwisselingsziekte CLN type 2. Ze heeft zwaar epilepsie, kan bijna niet meer lopen, word langzaamaan blind, kan niet praten (gelukkig wel heel hard en veel lachen), is haar oriëntatie en evenwicht al grotendeels kwijt, kan niet meer zelfstandig eten en komt hieraan te overlijden. Evi haar levensverwachting is 8-12 jaar.

Mijn moeder heeft er voor gezorgd dat alles in en rondom huis aangepast is voor Evi en dat ze thuis kan blijven wonen. Samen met de gemeente Tiel.

Alleen de gemeente kan niets betekenen met een rolstoelbus/auto. En dit is juist zo hard nodig. 

Evi groeit net als ieder ander meisje gewoon door en weegt inmiddels 25 kilo. Dit betekent dus ook dat ze uit haar aangepaste autostoel groeit. Doordat ze haar evenwicht niet kan houden, kan ze niet 'gewoon' in de auto zitten. Ook kan ze al niet echt meer lopen, 10 stappen en ze valt. Dus ze is afhankelijk van een rolstoel.

Voor mijn moeder is dit heel zwaar geworden. Het is niet alleen Evi in de auto tillen, ook de rolstoel en alle tassen die altijd mee moeten voor Evi.

Evi moet een paar keer in de week naar het ziekenhuis. De ene keer in Tiel voor de fysiotherapie, de andere keer naar het Sophia Kinderziekenhuis voor haar behandeling, onderzoeken en tandarts.  Maar ook vind Evi het geweldig om naar het bos, strand, dierentuin en op vakantie te gaan. Ze gaat er graag op uit. Maar dat kan alleen nog maar als we een passende rolstoelbus/auto hebben. 

Wij willen zo graag alles uit het leven halen voor Evi, nu ze nog zo goed is. En zeker nu ze nog kan zien.

Dit krijgen wij alleen voor elkaar met jullie hulp.

We are Wesley (16 years old) and Lize (15 years old) and we want to set up an action to raise money for a wheelchair bus/car for Wesley’s little sister Evi. Because of corona that wasn’t possible, so we’re trying it this way.
Evi is a sweet, naughty girl of 6 years old, but unfortunately terminally ill. Evi had a progressive metabolic disease, CLN type 2. She has severe epilepsy, can hardly walk anymore, is becoming blind, lost her orientation and balance for the most part. Sshe can’t eat on her own and she will ultimately pass away due to this. Evi’s life expectancy is 8-12 years old.
My mother managed to adjust everything all around an inside the house for Evi, so she can stay at home. Together with the municipality of Tiel, the city in The Netherlands we live in.
But the municipality can’t help for a wheelchair bus/car, and this is very needed.
Evi is growing just like ever other girl and weighs 25 kilos. That means she is growing out of her adjusted chair in the car. Because she doesn’t have a good balance, she can’t just sit in a car. She also can’t really walk anymore, with 10 steps she’s on the ground, so she needs a wheelchair.
This has become very tough for my mother. She doesn’t only carry Evi in the car, but also her wheelchair and all the bags that need to be brought as well for Evi.
Evi needs to go to the hospital multiple times a week. One time in Tiel for physiotherapy, the other time to the Sophia Children’s hospital for her treatment, examine and dentist. But Evi also loves to go to the forest, the beach, the zoo and to go on vacation. She loves to go outside, but that’s only still possible if we have a fitting wheelchair bus/car.
We want to give her the best life and make good memories with Evi as long as possible. Especially now that she can still see.
