Na een controle bij de specialist heeft mijn zus groen licht gekregen om terug naar Australië te mogen vliegen. Dit gaat ongeveer €3000 kosten omdat ze niet gewoon gaat kunnen vliegen en haar been omhoog moet liggen. Ook heeft ze te horen gekregen dat ze grote kans heeft om 15/20% blijvend invalide te zijn. Weer een hele klap om te verwerken en ze is er lang nog niet😔. Drie maanden niet steunen en dan een lange weg te gaan om hopelijk terug te kunnen wandelen. Hopelijk komt er ook een periode dat ik eens wat goed nieuws kan sturen! Nogmaals bedankt voor de steun die we al gekregen hebben 😘 

My sister from Australia is on holiday with us in Belgium! We were so looking forward to it! Until disaster struck on Sunday 18 August. She fell down the stairs and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Immediately our first concern was how are we going to pay for this? She still has a Belgian passport, is that enough? With a shattered heel bone and a 5-day wait for an operation, we were finally allowed to go home on Monday 26 August. Everything was prepared to take care of her and help her as best as possible at home. We have tried everything and are still trying to find assistance for the costs. She has had to cancel her flight because she was supposed to leave for Australia on 20 August. Of course, she also wants to return to her family and friends as soon as possible, which will only be possible with a first class flight. Medication costs are sky-high, let alone what her hospital stay will cost. In addition, she still has a rehabilitation period of 1 to 2 years ahead of her. I have created this crowd funding in order to help with these costs, and we hope that people can help us a little. Donating would take a big burden off our shoulders.
