My husband and I currently live in the Netherlands, but our parents still live in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.
They are 70 and 80 years old and live in two different houses.Despite the war, they do not want to leave their home and familiar surroundings. At their age, moving to another country is very difficult. Unfortunately, we do not have enough space in the Netherlands to accommodate them for an extended period.Last winter was very difficult.
Due to the war, the electricity went out regularly, sometimes for up to 8 hours straight.Our parents have a gas boiler for heating. Although the boiler runs on gas, it requires electricity for the pump, fan, and electronics. Therefore, when the power goes out, the heating also stops.For people aged 70 and 80, we want to minimize the risk of being without heating during long power outages this winter as much as possible.Unfortunately, we have to take into account that the war will likely still be ongoing this coming winter and that prolonged power outages are again possible.What are we raising funds for?We want to install an independent emergency power supply in both houses before winter.
For this, we want to purchase:
2 × EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max power stations (2048 Wh)
2 × EcoFlow Grounding Adapters
One complete set for each house.The Grounding Adapters are necessary to make the power stations suitable for safely and correctly powering the gas boilers, which may require a proper electrical reference/grounding for flame detection.With these systems, we want to ensure that the gas boilers can be powered during a power outage, so that the heating can continue to function. We want to personally take the power stations to Vinnytsia and ensure that both systems are safely connected and tested before winter.
Therefore, we hope to have raised enough money by October 10th to purchase the equipment in time.After the purchase, we will share the receipts and photos of the installed equipment so that everyone who helps can see what the donations were used for.
