Hieronder leg ik uit waarom jouw, kleine of grote, gift het leven van mijn vrienden in Senegal blijvend verbeterd. Ze hebben het echt nodig door COVID. Je helpt direct vrienden, moeders, vaders, kinderen.

Via het dansen heb ik een nieuwe vriendengroep in Senegal gekregen. Zij wonen in het dorp Toubacouta. Stel je daar een soort dorp a la Asterix en Obelix bij voor. Ben je eenmaal een vriend, dan doen ze alles voor je, zo lief. Zij hebben mij in het hart geraakt met hun gastvrijheid, optimisme en levensvreugde. Ik doe met heel mijn hart nu dus ook graag alles voor hen. Ze verdienen het om, net als bij ons, geholpen te worden in deze lastige tijd.

Waarom is deze actie nodig? De hele voedsel supply staat op zijn kop. Zo wordt rijst opgekocht door rijke mensen om deze vervolgens voor hogere prijzen af te zetten. Import is gedaald. In Toubacouta zijn de inkomsten uit toerisme, 80% van hun inkomen, gekelderd tot 0%. En dat blijft nog zeker maanden het geval! Dus: minder aanbod, hogere prijzen, minder inkomsten. Bovendien hebben de mensen daar totaal geen buffers.

Je snapt dat dit alles vraagt van de creativiteit en het ondernemerschap om te overleven.

Het idee voor een eggfarm is van hen afkomstig. Het runnen van zo'n farm is een beproefd concept om het leven van van boerengezinnen blijvend te verbeteren. Met een eggfarm kan je in een aantal weken geld verdienen. Een eggfarm is dus KIP- EIEREN- INKOMSTEN. En een betekenisvolle tijdsbesteding, die bovendien duurzaam is.

Voor het opzetten van een kleinschalige eggfarm is circa 6.000 euro nodig. Waar je aan moet denken is het investeren in broedmachines, verlichting, huur van een stal, voedermachines, een diepvries, generator, en natuurlijk kippen en voer.

Een lieve Oma uit Europa leent alsvast een bedrag van 1.000 euro. Dat wil ik graag vervierdubbelen met 3.000 euro aan donaties voor een snelle start.

Jouw donaties gaan direct naar de mensen die de farm gaan opzetten. Direct geld doneren naar de mensen daar is het het beste wat je kunt doen. Mijn europees-afrikaanse vriend (hij komt van daar en werkt hier, echt keihard, en brengt al zijn geld naar daar) heeft alle connecties om dit tot een succes te maken.

Geweldig toch? Dat jij door deze kleine dingen 1x te laten direct een fantastisch project mee financiert. Je doet ten eerste iets onvergetelijks voor de mensen daar (bij wie je vervolgens natuurlijk van harte welkom bent om een keer langs te komen). Ten tweede maak je iedereen blij die aan dit project mee doet, omdat we het SAMEN doen.

Through dancing I got a new group of friends in Senegal. They live in the village of Toubacouta. Imagine a kind of village a la Asterix and Obelix. Once you're a friend, they'll do anything for you, so sweet. They touched my heart with their hospitality, optimism and joie de vivre. So now I love to do everything for them with all my heart. They deserve to be helped, just like us, during this difficult time.

Why is this action necessary? The entire food supply is turned upside down. For example, rice is bought by rich people and then sold for higher prices. Import has decreased. In Toubacouta, tourism income, 80% of their income, has plummeted to 0%. And that will remain the case for months to come! So: less supply, higher prices, less income. Moreover, the people there have no buffers at all.

You understand that this requires all of the creativity and entrepreneurship to survive.

The idea for an egg farm comes from them. Running such a farm is a proven concept to permanently improve the lives of farming families. With an egg farm you can earn money in a few weeks. An egg farm is therefore CHICKEN EGGS INCOME. And a meaningful time commitment, which is also sustainable.

About 6,000 euros is needed to set up a small-scale egg farm. What you should think about is investing in incubators, lighting, renting a stable, forage machines, a freezer, generator, and of course chickens and feed.

A sweet Grandma from Europe is already borrowing an amount of 1,000 euros. I would like to triple that with 3,000 euros in donations for a quick start.

Your donations go directly to the people who will set up the farm. Donating money directly to the people there is the best thing to do. My European-African friend (he comes from there and works here, really hard, and brings all his money there) has all the connections to make this a success.
