Now that the war in Ukraine has begun, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are seeking refuge in a neighbouring country. The armed conflict has suddenly become very close. Many of our colleagues have friends and family living in the war zone.
We are fully aware of the severity of the recent developments in Ukraine and our youth business organisation, the Young Vion Club, is therefore taking action and has initiated a fundraising programme consisting of various activities.
Our colleague Nico Roskam, Country Manager of Vion’s office in Warsaw, Poland, has initiated a number of local measures to help protect refugees and their loves ones. Among other things, Nico has formed a team with friends and together they have picked up dozens of refugees at the Ukrainian-Polish border and arranged transport. These people are now accommodated in hotels, with friends or in private homes and are being provided with food and clothing. In addition, they are providing refugees with basic necessities, such as groceries and telephone cards.
Because the flow of refugees is increasing and the need for money is growing, the Young Vion Club has opened a bank account for anyone who wishes to make a donation and support Nico and his team in their activities, so they can continue to provide support to refugees in help.
Your support is invaluable to the people in need. Thank you for your great generosity!
Kind regards,
The Young Vion Club
