Help Nationale Dierenzorg Replace Their Animal Ambulance
When an animal is injured, trapped, abandoned, or in urgent need of help, every minute matters.
Stichting Nationale Dierenzorg works to rescue, care for, and protect animals in need in the Netherlands. Animal ambulances are an essential part of this work, allowing trained rescuers and volunteers to reach animals, transport them safely, and bring them to the care they need.
Unfortunately, one of the animal ambulances was involved in a serious accident and was declared a total loss. Thankfully, the drivers were safe, but losing the ambulance has created an immediate challenge for the rescue work.
We are raising €34,500 to help replace this essential vehicle and keep animal rescue services moving.
Why the ambulance matters
Every day, injured pets, abandoned animals, wildlife, and other animals in need may require transportation and assistance.
An animal ambulance allows rescuers to respond when an animal cannot reach safety on its own.
The original replacement cost was estimated at €44,500. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, valuable equipment and interior components from the damaged ambulance were recovered and can be reused. This reduced the amount needed to €34,500.
