We hebben in Indonesië een gedeeltelijke lening kunnen krijgen. Hiermee kunnen we Jorgo repatriëren. Jorgo zal naar Brussels Airport worden gevlogen en per emergency ambulance naar ICU van het ziekenhuis in Genk worden gebracht. Hopelijk kunnen we op nog warmhartige mensen rekenen om Jorgo te helpen.
VOORGESCHIEDENIS
Lieve Lezers,
Mijn zoon Jorgo heeft een ernstig ongeluk in Indonesië gehad. Hij is door een wagen omver gereden en is door deze vreselijke botsing in coma geraakt. Hij heeft veel breuken aan zijn aangezicht, erg veel bloed verloren en zijn hersenen zijn opgezwollen.
Jorgo is na het ongeluk per ambulance naar een Indonesisch ziekenhuis gebracht waar hij nog altijd ligt. De dokters hebben hem 8 uur lang aan zijn hoofd geopereerd, bij deze operatie is een stukje schedel verwijderd om ruimte te maken voor de hersenen. Hij ligt nu aan het beademingstoestel. Zijn koorts wordt onder controle gehouden door een elektrisch verkoelende deken en er is ook een bloedtransfusie van 6 zakjes toegediend.
Hij wordt nu nog in kunstmatige coma gehouden, en ligt dus nog altijd aan het beademingstoestel. Lichtpuntje is dat ze de sedatie hebben verminderd en zijn koorts is vandaag gezakt. De dokters zeggen dat ze zeker nog 2 à 3 weken moeten wachten voor verdere vooruitgang.
Helaas had mijn zoon geen reisverzekering en de kosten lopen nog steeds op. Help mijn zoon alstublieft! Hij moet, na stabilisatie, medisch gerepatrieerd worden naar zijn thuis in België.
Ik dank jullie alvast uit de grond van mijn hart voor het bijdragen aan mijn zoon zijn herstel en repatriëring. Petra

My son Jorgo Vanhees had a serious traffic accident during his holiday in Indonesia. He is at Rumah Sakit Bali Mandara Hospital. He hadn't taken out travel insurance.
That's why I started a crowdfunding, but the donations have stagnated a bit. Help my son get better to be able to repatriate him back to Belgium by medical plane.
Jorgo is an avid player of Magic The Gathering. He has been playing Magic the Gathering since he was 10

Dear Old School community,
Yesterday, Thomas Meddens (Timmy Talks) received terrible news from Jorgo's mother that Jorgo Vanhees was involved in a car accident in Indonesia. The accident happened on the 26th of May. A car ran into Jorgo, putting him into a coma. He has many fractures in his face, lost a lot of blood, and unfortunately suffered severe head trauma.
After the accident, he was rushed to the hospital. An 8-hour surgery was performed to relieve the pressure on his brain, and he is currently being kept in an induced coma on the intensive care. His fever is dropping, but doctors have stated that they need 2-3 more weeks to have a better idea of what will happen.
His father is currently with him in Indonesia, and his mother has started a donation campaign. The medical bills are already huge (20k+) and more money is required to repatriate Jorgo to his home in Belgium. Unfortunately, Jorgo didn't have any travel insurance to cover his medical expenses.
