I am a researcher, developer and neuropsychologist clinician with years of experience, I've seen firsthand the challenges faced by individuals with mild cognitive impairment and executive dysfunction. Conditions like MCI, Parkinson's, ADHD, TBI, stroke, and MS can significantly impact daily life.
I studied at Maastricht University and have worked at various university hospitals in neurological stations, have worked with children with various neurodevelopmental issues and have also worked with medical device validation for health tech at a health institute in Luxembourg. I also have expertise in data science and machine learning and am working as a researcher in health tech, cognitive decline associated with neurodegeneration and brain imaging.
Current neurorehabilitation depends on clinicians opinions and I would like to optimize our approaches, from simple paper trainings to cognitive rehabilitation tailored to the patient's needs. I am planning to develop a groundbreaking neurorehabilitation program and software to help these individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. To make this vision a reality, I need your support to acquire the open source BCI device and necessary equipment.
This cutting-edge technology will enable me to measure brain activity in real-time, providing invaluable data to create personalized rehabilitation plans that can be correlated with eye movements and real-time trainings. By combining brain-computer interfaces with immersive virtual environments, we can offer engaging and effective cognitive training exercises and potentially aid patients at maximizing their cognitive rehabilitation outcomes.
This is an independent research project not connected to an institution and I am looking for support to purchase the relevant equipment for the project, to be found here: https://shop.openbci.com/products/bcibundle?variant=45823479218416 .
I want to contribute to the development of novel health tech solutions and your contribution will not only help me achieve that, but also directly impact the lives of countless individuals and every contribution counts, as many people's lives might be improved by a more causal approach to cognitive rehabilitation and training. Join me in this mission to transform neuropsychological practice and neurorehabilitation!
