Hi everyone,
I recently travelled to Zimbabwe to visit my grandmother who lives in a rural area near Mvuma. While I was there, I visited the only school of 200 students, in the village and brought some donated clothes, toothpaste, and wooden toothbrushes that I had collected.
Seeing the school really moved me. The teachers and students are doing their absolute best to provide education under very difficult circumstances — very limited furniture, few learning materials, basic facilities, and no electricity. Despite this, they are still teaching and achieving something they are proud of. The dedication of the teachers and the motivation of the students was truly inspiring.
I’m currently trying to help the school install solar power so they can at least run basic equipment like a printer to produce curriculum materials and exam papers for the students so learning and teaching can continue.
The total cost for the solar setup is about $1000, and I will be contributing and covering as much as I can myself. If anyone feels willing to support — even a small contribution would really help move this forward.
I will also share some photos/videos so you can see the situation at the school.
At the end of the day, wherever we are in the world, we all have something in common — supporting children and education.
Thank you so much for your contributions🙏
