Breast cancer touches the lives of countless people every day, affecting not only those diagnosed but also their families, friends, and loved ones. In the Netherlands, approximately 1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Behind every statistic is a personal story, a family, and a community impacted by the disease.
Pink Ribbon , part of KWF Dutch Cancer Society, raises funds for research and projects dedicated to preventing breast cancer, detecting it earlier, improving treatments, and enhancing quality of life during and after treatment. This includes research into more effective, personalized treatments, as well as support for recovery, mental well-being, and the long-term effects of the disease. Continued research is essential to improving outcomes and helping everyone affected by breast cancer live better lives.
Beyond fundraising, we want to create a space where we can come together, share experiences, raise awareness, and open up conversations about breast cancer and women's health. By building a community rooted in compassion and support, we hope to remind everyone affected that they are not alone.
